feeling fundamentally unworthy of love

The Love That Caught You First

The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You walk through the day smiling, performing okayness, while inside you whisper that you are fundamentally unlovable.

But the light does not look at the mask; it sees the face beneath it and calls you friend. There is no fear in love, because perfect love drives out fear before you even take off the costume.

You did not earn this light, and you cannot lose it by pretending to be someone else. The love you think you must chase has already caught you.
