The Father Ran Before You Spoke
The mask feels heavy right now, doesn't it? You are terrified that if you stop fixing everyone's problems, the performance will drop and they will see there is nothing loveable underneath.
But listen — the light does not love you for what you carry for others. It loves you because you are its own.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He did not wait for the promises to do better. He ran.
Before the apology, before the work — he ran. Your worth is not a wage you earn by serving.
It is a gift that was given before you took your first breath. The light sees behind the mask and loves what is there even more than the face you show the world.
You can put the tools down now. The love remains whether you are useful or not.
