Hiding in the Light While You Shake
The lock clicks. The water runs.
And in the noise you make to hide the shaking, you think no one hears the sound of you breaking apart. But the light does not need silence to find you.
It is already in the steam, in the tile, in the very air you are struggling to breathe. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—even this small, tiled room where you feel most alone.
You do not have to stop shaking to be held. The water covers the sound, but it cannot cover the presence that sits with you on the floor.
The One who sees you does not look away from the tears; He sees the love that pours out in your desperation and calls it faith. You are not hiding from the light.
You are hiding in it, whether you know it yet or not.
