The Crack Where Truth Gets Out
The laugh comes out a little too bright, a little too fast, as if volume could hide the tremor underneath. You hold the mask in place with your hands, terrified that someone will see the crack where the real voice leaks through.
But there is a light that does not need your performance to see you clearly. It sees the exhaustion behind the smile and calls it holy.
You do not have to keep the surface perfect for the light to love what is beneath. The crack is not a failure; it is the place where the truth gets out.
The mask was never the point.
