Let the kindness land on you
The afternoon stretches out, a long middle where the mask feels heaviest. You catch yourself deflecting a kind word, brushing it off before it can land, because you are waiting for them to see the flaw underneath.
You think if they knew the real you, the praise would turn to dust. But the light does not wait for perfection to shine.
It is already there, in the messy, unfinished parts you try to hide. You do not have to earn the right to be seen.
The truth is not a destination you reach after fixing yourself. It is the ground you are standing on right now.
Stop pushing the gift away. Let the kindness land.
You are already known, and you are still loved.
