The Door Closed Because You Are Home
The key turns in the lock, but the door no longer opens to the home you knew. That sound is the heaviest part of the day—the moment the armor comes down and the silence rushes in to fill the space where a voice used to be.
You are standing in the hallway of a life that has shifted beneath your feet, holding a metal shape that no longer fits. But the light does not live behind that door.
It was never contained by those walls or dependent on a welcome that has been withdrawn. There is a place prepared for you that no lock can secure and no key can access—a room where the light itself is the dwelling.
The door did not close to leave you outside; it closed because you are already home.
