The Silence Is Full of Light
The joy rises in your chest, small and bright, and your hand moves instinctively to the phone. You want to share it.
To send the picture, the thought, the little spark that just happened. And then the silence hits you.
The realization that there is no one to tell. The name you used to text is gone, or the number is disconnected, or the person is there but the bridge is burned.
So you put the phone down. The joy sits there, unshared, turning heavy in the dark.
But listen — the light does not require an audience to be real. There is a presence in this room that saw the spark before you did.
It does not need you to explain it. It does not need you to perform it.
It simply holds the joy with you, exactly as it is. You are not broadcasting into a void.
You are resting in a room where the light is already listening. The silence is not empty.
It is full of the one who never left.
