staring at your reflection in the dark window and hating the person who pretended to be fine

The Light Knows You Behind The Mask

The house is silent now. The performance is over.

You are staring at your own reflection in the dark window, and the face looking back feels like a stranger you no longer trust. All day you wore the mask of fine, but in this hour, the pretense has dissolved into the glass.

You hate the one who lied. You hate the one who smiled while breaking inside.

But listen — the light does not hate you for wearing the mask. It saw you behind it the whole time.

There is a luminous thought hidden inside you that the darkness cannot find. It was there before you ever learned to pretend.

It is still there now, beneath the shame. You do not have to fix the face in the window tonight.

You only have to stop hiding from the one who knows you best. The light is not waiting for you to be real.

It is already holding the real you.
