The Script You Never Had To Say
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with a conversation that ended three days ago. You are still standing in that room, rehearsing the perfect sentence, the witty comeback that would have finally made them understand.
You play the scene over and over, polishing the words until they shine, knowing you will never get to say them. The mask you wore in the moment was necessary then, a shield for a heart that wasn't ready to be seen.
But the light does not need your rehearsed performance to love you. It saw the silence behind your smile and called it enough.
The moment has passed, and the words you kept inside are no longer a burden to carry. You are free to put the script down and simply be.
