The Light Waits While You Hide
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the words you spoke hours ago. You lie there while they sleep beside you, feeling the distance grow with every breath, convinced that your failure has built a wall the morning cannot cross.
You are replaying the lie, editing the scene, certain that you have lost something precious tonight. But listen — the darkness is gathering, yes, but it is not the final verdict on your heart.
There is a light that shines in the dark, and the dark has not overcome it. It does not flicker out because you stumbled.
It does not withdraw because you hid the truth. The light is already in the room, waiting for you to stop running from it.
You do not have to fix the night before you can rest. The distance you feel is an illusion of the shadows; the truth is that you are held even now, in the middle of your hiding.
Go to sleep. The dawn will bring what the night cannot give.
