You Do Not Need to Apologize
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with rehearsals. You are practicing apologies for taking up space before you even speak. Apologizing for the breath you just took. For the need you feel. For the simple fact that you are here.
There was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years — unclean, untouchable, convinced she had no right to approach the light. She did not ask permission. She did not apologize for her presence. She simply reached out and touched the edge of a cloak. And the light stopped the entire crowd to turn and call her 'Daughter.'
You do not need to say sorry for existing. The light did not knock on your door tonight to tell you to be smaller. It stands at the door and waits to eat with you — not with a perfect guest, but with you.
The truth lives in you and will be with you forever, not as a demand to shrink, but as a promise that you belong here.
Your existence is not an offense that needs forgiveness; it is the very reason the light came looking.
