The Light Sits With You In The Ache
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the echo of a voice that will not speak again. You have memorized the cadence, the laugh, the way it said your name, and the silence where that sound should be feels like a physical weight.
In this deepest hour, when the dark is heaviest, the light does not try to replace the voice or fill the gap. It simply sits with you in the ache.
There was a man who carried his friend to a tomb and wept, and the light stood beside him and wept too, not to fix the loss but to honor it. The voice you miss was a gift, and the pain you feel is the shape of that gift remaining.
The light that lived in that voice has not vanished; it has returned to the source, and it is waiting for you in the silence. You are not alone in the dark; the light is holding the memory with you.
