Put Down the Sword and Rest
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with a conversation that ended hours ago. You are rehearsing the perfect thing you should have said, sharpening a sword for a battle that is already over.
The darkness gathers outside, and inside, you are fighting a ghost. But listen — the light does not need your victory in a room where no one else is standing.
There is a peace that does not depend on you having the last word. The Father knows what you meant to say, and He is not waiting for your apology to love you.
You can put the sword down. The night is for rest, not for rewriting history.
The perfect response was never the point; the presence you carry right now is enough.
