You Are the Light Holding Regret
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with a single sentence you spoke hours ago. You are replaying it on a loop, convinced that one careless comment has shattered how everyone sees you.
In the watch of the night, the shadow of that moment grows until it feels like the whole truth. But the light that lives inside you was there before you spoke, and it remains untouched by your stumble.
It does not retract because you were imperfect. There is a mercy in the dark that knows your heart better than your memory does, and it refuses to let one mistake define the whole of who you are.
You are not the echo of your regret; you are the light that holds it.
