Your Light Shines Regardless of Their Vision
The house is quiet now, but the silence after you spoke feels heavier than the noise ever did. You finally said the thing that has been burning in your throat for months, maybe years, and you watched their eyes glaze over with that quiet, practiced impatience of someone who has heard it all before.
They did not argue. They did not yell.
They just checked the time, signaling that your truth was an inconvenience to their schedule. In that moment, you felt smaller than you have in a long time — as if your deepest pain was just background static to them.
But listen closely: their inability to receive your light does not extinguish it. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world, and it shines regardless of whether the room bothers to look up.
You are not defined by the ears that refuse to hear you. You are defined by the voice that finally spoke.
The truth you brought forth is already saving you, even if it seems to change nothing in the room. Speak it anyway.
The light is not responsible for their vision; it is only responsible for shining.
