The Light Was There Before Your Fear
The house is quiet now, but the echo of that look remains. You caught your child's eyes on your face, and for a second, you saw your own old fear staring back at you.
It stops your breath. You wonder how the shadow you thought you buried made its way into their gaze.
But listen — the light that woke you up is already awake in them. It was there before your fear arrived, and it is stronger than anything you could accidentally pass down.
You are not the source of their courage; you are just the mirror where they first see it. The cycle breaks not because you become perfect, but because you remember the light is already holding them.
