The Embrace Came Before The Words
The house is quiet now, and your mind is rehearsing the speech you'll need just to exist in the morning. You are practicing apologies for taking up space, for having needs, for being a burden before you've even said a word.
But listen — the light does not ask you to shrink. It does not require you to earn your place at the table.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, and he ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
The embrace came first. The words were never the point.
You are not a problem to be solved or a debt to be paid. The light that lives inside you is not something you have to justify.
It is already here. It is already enough.
You do not need to explain your way into being loved.
