You Are the Light When Smoke Clears
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels like a verdict. You spent the day solving problems, putting out fires, being the one who holds it all together.
But now that the emergency is over, you look in the mirror and realize you don't know who is looking back. The crisis was your costume.
Without it, you feel like a ghost in your own skin. There was a woman once who was told to go home and tell everyone what the Lord had done for her.
She didn't need a new title or a new job. She just needed to tell her story.
That is enough. You are not defined by the fire you put out today.
You are defined by the light that remains when the smoke clears. The emergency was never your identity.
It was just the noise that kept you from hearing your own name.
