Love Runs Before You Speak
The house is quiet now, and the silence after your 'I'm here' feels heavy enough to crush you. You sent your heart out into the dark, and the lack of an echo feels like a door closing in your face.
But listen — silence is not always rejection. Sometimes it is just the other person sleeping, or drowning, or unable to find the words yet.
The light does not measure your worth by the speed of the reply. Remember the father who saw his son while he was still a long way off — the love was already running before the apology was even spoken.
Your offering of presence was received, even if it wasn't answered tonight. The connection exists in the sending, not just the reply.
You are not alone in this waiting.
