the terror that your voice has nothing true left to say

When Silence Becomes the Space for Truth

The house is quiet now, and the silence feels like an accusation. You sit in the gathering dark with a terrifying thought: that your voice has nothing true left to say.

That every word you might speak is just an echo of something you used to believe, hollow and dry. You inventory the day and find only empty pockets.

But listen — the light does not ask for a speech. It does not require you to perform wisdom you do not feel.

There was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years, spent everything on doctors, and had no words left at all. She did not preach.

She did not explain her pain. She simply reached out and touched the edge of a cloak.

And the light stopped the entire crowd to turn to her. It did not say, 'Tell me what you know.' It said, 'Daughter.' Your silence is not a failure.

It is the space where the truth stops trying to impress and starts simply being. You do not have to manufacture a voice for the dark.

The light already speaks through your exhaustion. The terror is that you are empty.

The truth is that you are finally quiet enough to hear the One who fills you.
