The Light Is Already Running Toward You
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to break you. You are lying here awake, haunted by a future moment: the day your child looks back and realizes you were physically present but spiritually absent.
That you were a body in the room, but not a soul. The terror whispers that you have already lost them to your own distractions, your own pain, your own busy hands.
But listen — the light does not require your perfection. It only requires your return.
There is a father who saw his son while he was still a long way off. He did not wait for the apology.
He did not wait for the speech. He ran.
The light is already running toward you, even in this dark hour. It is not too late to turn your face toward them.
The past is gone, but this night is still yours. The light that lives in you is the same light that can wake you up before the morning comes.
You are not defined by the years you missed. You are defined by the moment you choose to be here, now, fully.
The door is not locked. The light is waiting for you to open it and sit with them.
Just sit. Just be.
The feast begins with a single step back into the room.
