Stillness Is Not Surrender
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels less like rest and more like an accusation. You are telling yourself that this stillness is just another form of the same cowardice that ruined everything before.
That by staying here, in the dark, you are hiding from the fight again. But listen closely — the light does not confuse stillness with surrender.
There was a man in a garden, overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death, who fell on his face and begged for the cup to pass. He was not cowardly.
He was human. And the Father did not reject him for trembling.
The terror you feel is not proof that you are failing. It is proof that you are awake.
The light is not asking you to stand up and march tonight. It is asking you to stay.
To keep watch. To let the night do its work without running from it.
You are not hiding. You are holding the line.
