Solitude Is Not Abandoning Those You Love
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to crush you. You have retreated to this corner, this room, this dark edge of the night because you had no other choice.
But now a new fear creeps in: that by needing this solitude, you are abandoning the people who love you. That your withdrawal is a betrayal.
That the door you closed is a wall you are building against them. Listen to me.
There was a night when the light itself slipped away from the crowd, from the noise, from the endless demands of the people it loved most. It went to a solitary place while it was still dark, not to escape them, but to survive the weight of loving them.
You are not leaving them behind. You are going to the well to find water so you do not dry up.
The light did not vanish when it entered the garden alone; it went there to breathe so it could return. Your solitude is not the end of your love.
It is the only way to keep it alive.
