You Do Not Have to Keep the Stars
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to break you. You are holding your breath, convinced that if you finally let go, if you close your eyes, the world you love will crumble into dust.
But listen — there is a peace waiting for you that does not depend on your vigilance. It is not like the world's peace, fragile and earned.
It is a gift, already given, already holding you up while you sleep. You do not have to keep the stars in the sky.
The light that lives inside you is greater than the chaos you fear. Let your hands open.
The watch is over.
