The Light Refuses to Leave You
The house is quiet now, and the only sound is the rhythm of your own breathing, which suddenly feels like an accusation. You wonder if staying alive this long is just proof that you are too selfish to let go, too focused on your own survival to make space for anyone else.
But listen — the light that keeps you here did not ask for your permission before it started shining. It simply arrived, like a rising sun that ignores the shadows and touches everything without discrimination.
There is a tender mercy that comes to shine on those living in darkness, guiding feet into a path of peace whether they feel worthy of the journey or not. Your survival is not a verdict on your character.
It is an invitation to receive what has already been given. The light does not keep you here because you earned it.
It keeps you here because it refuses to leave you behind.
