The Light Does Not Care About Performance
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day has finally slipped. You are left wondering if anyone saw the real you tonight, or if your kindness was just another act that fooled them all.
But the light does not care about your performance; it only cares about your presence. There is a truth living inside you that no amount of pretending can cover up or erase.
Even when you feel like a fraud, the love within you remains genuine because it was placed there before you ever learned to hide. You did not have to earn your place at the table tonight; you were already invited.
The gathering dark cannot convince you that you are alone when the light is still burning in your chest.
