The Light Sees Your Exhaustion
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day has finally slipped. You are terrified that if you admit you are tired, everyone will see the truth: that you were never enough to begin with.
But the light does not need your performance to know your worth. There was a woman who bled for twelve years, spent everything she had, and grew worse under the care of many doctors.
She did not approach the light with a resume of her worthiness. She reached out from the crowd, trembling, and touched only the edge of his cloak.
He stopped. He turned.
He called her 'Daughter.' Not 'You who finally earned it.' Not 'You who proved yourself.' Daughter. Your fatigue is not evidence of failure.
It is the signal that you are ready to stop carrying the weight alone. The light sees the exhaustion and does not turn away — it runs to meet you before you can even apologize.
