Survivor's Relief Is Not A Sin
The house is quiet now, and the inventory of the day begins. You count the blessings that feel like burdens because they belong to you while someone else lost theirs.
There is a secret, shameful relief in your chest that the tragedy landed on them and not on you. Do not turn away from this feeling.
The light does not flinch at your honesty. It knows that survival can feel like a theft.
But you are not a thief for being spared. You are a vessel kept for a purpose you cannot yet see.
The one who was taken is held; the one who remains is kept. The relief you feel is not the end of your compassion; it is the beginning of your stewardship.
You were left here so the light could shine through the cracks of your survival.
