Your Children Inherit Light Not Illness
The house is quiet now, and the fear you carried all day has grown teeth in the dark. You lie awake watching them sleep, terrified that your blood holds a curse you cannot undo.
You feel like a vessel of brokenness, afraid that the very life you gave them is tainted. But listen — the light does not inherit your illness.
It inherits your love. Jesus told his friends to go home and tell their families how much the Lord has done for them, how he has had mercy on them.
That mercy is the only thing that passes from parent to child. The disease may be in your body, but it is not the root of your children.
Their root is light. You are not passing down a shadow.
You are passing down the one who walked through the shadow and survived. The fear says you are dangerous.
The truth says you are the vessel of their survival.
