You Are the Reason the Light Lit
The house is quiet now, and the chair feels foreign beneath you, as if the floor itself has forgotten your name. You sit like a guest who has lingered too long, waiting for a signal that it is time to leave.
But the light does not keep a clock, and it does not measure your worth by how much space you take up. Jesus said he came not for the well, but for the sick — for the ones who feel they have no right to be at the table.
You are not an intruder in your own life. You are the very reason the light lit the lamp and swept the room.
The darkness gathers outside, but inside, you are not merely tolerated. You are the one being waited for.
