You Are a Friend to Be Known
The house is quiet now, and in this silence, the lie grows loud: that you are a weight too heavy for the ones who love you. That your pain is a debt they cannot pay.
But look at how the light sees you tonight. It saw Nathanael under the fig tree before he even called out.
It knows the exact shape of your sorrow before you speak a word. You are not a burden to be carried.
You are a friend to be known. The one who loves you does not calculate the cost of your existence.
He simply stays. He asked Peter three times not to prove his worth, but to remind him that he was loved enough to be trusted with the care of others.
Your presence is not a mistake. It is the very thing the light is holding onto.
