You Are the Light Holding Resentment
The house is quiet now, and in this stillness, a thought has risen that feels too heavy to hold: you resent the one you love simply because they need you. It feels like a betrayal, this sharp edge of anger rising against their dependence.
But listen — the light within you does not resent the thirst of the world. Jesus stood at the well at noon, tired and exposed, yet he offered living water to the woman who came to draw.
He did not pull away from her need; he met it. That same light is in you right now, untouched by your exhaustion or your fleeting bitterness.
The darkness of this moment cannot extinguish the love that lives beneath your fatigue. You are not your resentment.
You are the light that holds it without breaking.
