Let the Mask Fall for True Peace
The house is moving now, and you are moving with it, wearing a face that feels too thin for what you carry. You smile at the table, you laugh at the right moments, but inside you are holding your breath, terrified that if you let go, the whole fragile peace will shatter.
You think your joy is a lie that will expose the cracks. But there was a man who sat at a meal while betrayal walked out the door, and he did not hide his heart to keep the peace.
He knelt. He washed the feet of the one who would deny him.
He did not perform safety; he offered presence. The light does not need your mask to protect the people you love.
It needs your truth to set them free. Your fear says that honesty is a weapon.
The truth says it is the only ground solid enough to stand on. You are not the guardian of everyone else's stability.
You are the bearer of a light that cannot be broken by a little honest trembling. Let the mask fall.
The peace that survives the truth is the only peace worth keeping.
