You Do Not Need to Be the Sun
The house is finally quiet, but your mind is loud with a terrifying thought: you are leading them with a map you no longer trust. You look at the sleeping faces of your children or the empty chairs of your team, and you feel like an impostor holding a compass that points nowhere.
The darkness of this hour makes the old certainties feel like paper walls ready to collapse. You are afraid that your doubt will leak out and drown them.
But listen — the light does not require you to have all the answers to be a safe harbor. There was a father who watched the road every day, not because he knew the future, but because he knew the love that waited at the end of it.
Your confusion is not a failure of leadership. It is the honest ground where a deeper truth is being born.
You do not need to be the sun for them; you only need to be the one who stays awake until the real dawn arrives. The map you are drawing tonight, in tears and uncertainty, is the only one they will ever need to see.
