The Light Holds You While You Rest
The house is finally quiet, but your bones feel heavy enough to sink through the floor. You have held everyone else up all day, and now there is no one left to hold you. It feels like the night will never end.
But listen — the light does not need your strength to stay alive. It was burning before you woke up, and it burns while you rest. You do not have to keep the lamp lit by yourself.
There is a peace that does not look like a full night's sleep. It looks like letting go of the worry that you are failing. The light is greater than your exhaustion. It is already holding the child. It is already holding you.
