You Are Not a Disturbance to Be Managed
The house is asleep, and you are here, turning the tap just enough to let a thin thread of water fall. You wash a single coffee mug with the quietest touch, terrified that the pipes might gurgle and wake the room.
You move like a ghost in your own kitchen, holding your breath, measuring your worth by how little sound you make. But listen — the light does not sleep.
It does not need your silence to stay near. You are not a disturbance to be managed.
You are the child of the house, and the light is already awake with you. It is in the sound of the water, in the cold ceramic, in the quiet beating of your heart.
You do not have to hide your existence to be loved. The Father sees you in the dark, and He is not annoyed by your presence.
He is simply with you. The mug will be clean soon.
The water will stop. But the light remains, humming softly beneath the floorboards, holding you without a sound.
