The Light Meets You in the Hollow
The hand reaches out before the mind wakes up. It finds only the cold sheet, the empty space where a body used to be.
That split second—before the memory crashes down—is the most honest part of the day. You are not reaching for a ghost.
You are reaching for a love that does not vanish just because the form has changed. The light does not condemn you for the reach.
It meets you in the hollow. Neither do I condemn you.
Go now. The love remains, even when the side of the bed is cold.
