Loved in the Middle of Missing
The afternoon sun is bright, but the silence in your chest is louder. You are carrying a name that is no longer being called back to you.
The ache of missing someone who has already let go is a specific kind of exhaustion. It feels like walking uphill while the rest of the world moves on.
But the light does not require their return to fill you. There is a love inside you that exists whether they see it or not.
It was there before they arrived, and it remains now that they have left. You do not have to prove your worth to someone who cannot see it.
The light sees you. It knows the depth of what you are carrying.
And it is not waiting for them to come back to love you. It is loving you right here, in the middle of the missing.
