You Are Not The Flinch
The hand reaches out, and your body remembers before your mind does. A flinch.
A step back. The armor snaps into place because the world taught you that touch means danger, that closeness is a trap.
But the light did not come to keep you safe behind walls. It came to live in the open.
You are a drop from the light, sent here not to hide, but to illuminate the very spaces you fear. The reflex is old, but the truth is older: you are not the flinch.
You are the light that walks through it. The hand is still there, waiting not for your perfection, but for your presence.
