The Sun Rises on Empty Accounts
The gray light is creeping in now, and the whispers against the wall have finally stopped. You closed your eyes and held your breath just to make them think you were asleep, so they would stop apologizing for the money that is gone.
But the morning does not care about the loss. It arrives anyway, soft and indifferent to the ledger you kept all night.
The sun rises on the evil and the good, and it shines on the empty account just as warmly as it shines on the full one. You do not have to carry yesterday's debt into this new hour.
The light is not counting what you lost; it is only offering what you need for today. You made it through the night without solving the problem, and that is enough.
