You Are Already Held
The evening settles in, and with it comes the quiet hum of the screen. You watch the three dots appear — a promise of connection, a sign that someone is there, thinking of you.
Then they vanish. The message never arrives.
The silence rushes back in, louder than before. It feels like being left mid-sentence.
Like your worth was weighed and found wanting. But the gathering dark does not mean you are forgotten.
The light does not depend on a reply to exist. There is a love that does not type, does not hesitate, and does not disappear.
It has already spoken your name. You are not waiting to be chosen.
You are already held.
