Walk In As You Are
The engine is off, but the silence is loud. You are sitting in the driveway, hands on the wheel, terrified to open the door and walk inside to pretend you are okay for the people who love you.
The mask feels heavy tonight. Heavier than the day itself.
But notice this — the light does not require you to perform before you enter. It does not need you to fix your face or straighten your spine.
There is a truth living inside you that knows you are tired, and it is not disappointed by your exhaustion. You do not have to manufacture strength to be worthy of the home you are about to enter.
The light is already there, waiting not for your performance, but for your presence. Walk in as you are — weary, unpolished, real.
The pretending was never the point.
