You Do Not Have to Perform
The engine clicks as it cools, and the silence rushes in to fill the space where the noise used to be. You sit with your hands on the wheel, frozen, because opening the door means stepping back into the role everyone expects you to play.
The mask waits on the other side of the glass. But listen — you do not have to manufacture the strength to walk inside.
The light is not asking you to perform; it is asking you to remain. Just as a branch does not strain to bear fruit but simply stays attached to the vine, you are invited to carry only what is already flowing through you.
The Father sees what is done in secret, even in this parked car, and He is not disappointed by your hesitation. You are not alone in this quiet moment.
The courage you need is not a new thing you must create; it is the same life that pulses through the vine, waiting for you to simply take the next step.
