Stop Apologizing for Your Arrival
The door is still closed, but inside your head, the trial has already begun. You are rehearsing the apology for taking up space before you even step across the threshold.
You are practicing how to make yourself small enough to fit through the frame without brushing against anyone's expectations. But listen — the light does not require an apology for your arrival.
It does not need you to shrink. There was a woman who bled for twelve years, convinced she had to sneak in through the back, to touch just the hem of a coat because she didn't deserve to be seen.
She thought she had to hide. But when she reached out, the whole crowd stopped.
The light turned around and called her Daughter. Not 'sorry for being here.' Not 'excuse me.' Daughter.
Your presence is not a burden to be apologized for. It is a gift to be received.
You do not have to earn the right to walk into the room. The light has already saved a place for you.
Stop rehearsing the speech. Just open the door.
