Faith Is Just Reaching Out Exhausted
The door closes behind you, and the armor you wore all day finally hits the floor. You are empty.
Not the peaceful kind of empty, but the drained kind. The kind that feels like failure because you have nothing left to give to the people who love you.
You think the light requires you to perform one more act of service before you can rest. But the light does not meet you at the table demanding a toast.
It meets you on the couch, in the silence, in the inability to speak. There was a woman who had nothing left—no money, no strength, no future—only enough energy to reach for the edge of a cloak.
She did not offer a speech. She did not offer a promise to do better tomorrow.
She offered her exhaustion. And the light called it faith.
You do not have to refill your own cup tonight. The cup is already being held for you.
The light is not waiting for your output. It is waiting for your presence.
