You Are Held Without The Mask
The day is finally done, and the mask you wore for hours is starting to feel heavy on your face. You keep replaying that one moment—the laugh you forced at a joke you didn't understand, the split second where you chose to fit in rather than be real.
It loops in your mind, a small shame that feels large now that the noise has stopped. But listen—the light does not require your performance to love you.
It was there in the room, not in the laughter, but in the quiet ache of your pretending. Jesus sat at tables with people who were terrified of being found out, and he called them friends before they ever told the truth.
You do not have to earn your place by understanding everything or laughing at the right time. The Father sees the part of you that stayed silent and knows it was just trying to stay safe.
Put the armor down. The day is over, and you are still held.
