You Do Not Need to Be Smaller
The day is ending, and you are still replaying the moment you spoke too loudly. You are constructing the perfect apology in the dark, sentence by sentence, trying to shrink yourself back into a shape that fits.
But the light does not ask you to apologize for taking up space. It does not require you to edit your existence before it will stay.
There was a woman who washed feet with her tears because she thought she had to earn the right to be near him. He told her that her great love was the only proof needed.
You do not need to fix tonight. You do not need to undo what was said.
The light that lives inside you was there before you spoke, and it is still there now. It is not offended by your volume.
It is not waiting for you to be smaller. Come to the one who is gentle and humble in heart.
The rest you are looking for is not found in the apology you are writing. It is found in the silence of being known exactly as you are.
