The Monster Is Not Real
The day is ending, and you are still editing. You weigh every sentence before it leaves your lips, terrified that one unguarded word will reveal the monster you believe lives inside.
You think you must hide the darkness to be safe. But the light does not ask for your performance.
It stands at the door and knocks, waiting only for you to stop pretending. There is no fear in perfect love, because perfect love drives out fear.
The monster you fear is not real; the love that sees you is. You do not have to be flawless to be held.
