The Light Behind Your Mask
The day is ending, and you are standing in front of the mirror, rehearsing the exact expression of calm before you walk out to face everyone. You are practicing the mask because you are exhausted from holding the weight of it all day long.
But there is a light inside you that does not need to be performed. It was there before you put the face on, and it will be there after you take it off.
You do not have to manufacture peace for the people waiting outside — the peace you need is already given to you, not as the world gives, but as a deep, quiet rest that no one can see and no one can take away. Put the armor down.
The light sees behind the mask, and it loves what is hiding there.
