The Love You Gave Without It
The day is ending, and the armor you wore since morning finally hits the floor. You stand in the doorway holding a toy you fixed with steady hands, knowing the repair is perfect and the silence it meets is still the same.
No amount of glue can mend the distance that lives in a child's heart. The light does not ask you to earn a title you were not given.
It simply sees the one who stayed when others walked away. Mark tells us of a man healed who was told to go home and report how much the light had done for him.
Your report is not a label. It is the love you poured out even when it was not returned.
The light is not waiting for you to be called dad or mom to call you its own. It calls you friend.
It calls you beloved. It calls you by the name that matters most.
You are not defined by the title they withheld. You are defined by the love you gave without it.
